What we collect

Reading activity. To power features like resume-where-you-left-off, progress bars, reading streaks, and spaced-repetition review, SparkShelf records your reading positions, the time and pages you read, and the highlights and notes you create.

Reading preferences. Theme, typeface, and layout choices are stored locally in your browser and never leave your device.

Agent queries. When you ask a book a question, we log the question and the passages retrieved to answer it, so we can improve answer quality and meter usage.

Author submissions. If you submit a manuscript, we collect the files you upload and the contact and book details you provide. See our Terms for how submitted work is used.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your reading activity or notes for advertising.

Your choices

You can delete your highlights and notes from the Notebook at any time. To request access to, or deletion of, other data we hold about you, contact us via the Contact page.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
